It's the age old adjective in the beauty industry - and that is to keep ourselves looking younger as we age every year. With so many skincare technologies and innovations out on the market. How do we keep the health of our skin in beautiful condition, whilst fighting the signs of aging?

There is one daily beauty regimen that can keep your skin young forever - and that is a daily dose of beauty sleep. It is the one free beauty routine that can give us the healthy skin that we so desire and need, and also fight the signs of aging.

8 hours a day keeps the wrinkles away

Sleep is the most luxurious beauty treatment any woman can give themselves. It's a time to rest your body, mind and skin. But in order for a good night's rest to work wonders on your skin. It must be done right. Although contrary to belief, it is actually better to sleep in cooler temperatures in your bedroom. An overly hot room can dry out your skin, as well as cause night sweating. Which can lead to acne or eczema outbreaks. So be sure to keep your bedroom at a cooler temperature - that will also ensure a better night's sleep. And remember to get at least 8 hours of sleep in - it is the #1 golden rule towards better health and skin.

Satin has the anti-wrinkle touch

Ever wake up in the morning and it looks like your pillow has imprinted itself to your cheek? Well you are not alone, even though cotton pillow covers are healthy. It does not necessarily prevent a wrinkle free morning on your face. To prevent such measures using satin pillow covers will prevent these ever so pesky crease marks - and it's better for your skin in the long run.

Vitamin C at night - will keep your skin nice and tight

Vitamin C is packed with anti-aging fighting properties and if used as part of your night time creams, it can do wonders for improving your skin's over all look. Make sure that the cream has additional ingredients such as retinol and glycolic acid. These are also especially good for those skins types that suffer from acne or oily skin.

But as a word of thought, always take your skin type into account when applying a night cream. For very dry skin, heavier moisturisers can do their best work at replacing essential moisture lost throughout the day at night. Look for ingredients such as amino-peptide and vitamin b3. This is almost like giving your skin a 'mini-face lift'.

Using all of these techniques will ensure that you are beautifully rested and glowing in the morning. And are on your way to a healthy skincare routine that fights the signs of aging.
