London based jewellery designer, Pippa Small, known for her luxurious handmade designs, launched her own online retail store available to her U.S. customers and beyond on pippasmall.com. Pippa's new online store sits on her main website where she also houses information about her projects, a blog, video links and charities she is designing for and supporting. All of the pieces available for purchase in USD will be shipped anywhere in the world. This new store compliments her UK online store that she launched in 2007 also on pippasmall.com which lists her pieces for sale in British pounds.
After designing for many incredible fashion houses including Gucci under Tom Ford and Chloe under Phoebe Philo, Pippa opened her own jewellery house in 2007 with a Notting Hill shop in London and in 2008 expanded to the United States, opening a boutique in Brentwood, California. Since their openings, both shops have gained quite the loyal following and Pippa Small jewellery has become beloved not only by her growing customer base but also by top stylists and editors alike. Her pieces are all handmade with gemstones and gold sourced from different regions across the world.
Pippa Small's jewellery designs venture beyond their beautiful aesthetic, as a designer, she is always exploring ways of making jewellery that can assist in the revival of traditional skills and techniques in communities in Central America and Southern Africa. She works with the world's first registered Fairtrade gold mine in Bolivia and works with the prestigious charity Turquoise Mountain in Afghanistan. Her most current Turquoise Mountain was launched this summer. Pippa also produced a collection of jewellery with the esteemed Fairtrade company MADE based in Kibera, a slum area in Nairobi.
Pippa believes the art of jewellery making can enhance life and help alleviate poverty and protect precious traditions, helping to grow the confidence of crafts people around the world and reverse the tradition of exploitation associated with the gem industry over the centuries.
