Starting a new year means getting out of old ruts and into new and healthy habits. Well, that is what we would like to think anyway. But it is never too late to start looking good! And of course keeping up with your beauty regimen for 2010 is so vital! I have some fantastic products to share with you over the next few weeks, and a few beauty tips that will help to make your new year looking fabulous.

Keep those wrinkles away with the latest in bio-friendly technology for the skin. Amino Genesis has done it again. This Californian based beauty brand boasts healthy skin using some of the most 'au-natural' techniques.

With the finest ingredients at hand Tripeptinon - promises to unlock the secrets of eternal youth. Loss of elasticity is the biggest 'skin killer', as we age the connective tissues from the support structure for skin cells start to slow down. Environmental as well as stress factors increase this process. The active ingredients in Tripeptinon activates the skin at these deep cellular levels, adding hydration and of course resulting in firmer skin. Using 17 select amino acids found in collagen and elastin, and derived from plant sources, each amino acid is purified before being added to the final product. These active ingredients include ceramide 2, to improve the appearance of sagging and discoloration. As well as ubiquinone and amino-acid ogliopetides - two very powerful antioxidants and collagen building triggers.

So how well was Tripeptinon received? The very basic but inventive packaging (hence the very clever triangular design) brings a shroud of mystery to the 'anti-aging' theme. Revealing inside a silver time capsule with pearl beads full of eternal youth and goodness!

The little pearl beads are easy to open and the moisturiser is in a pure oil base, and is easy to apply to the areas that need moisture the most. Applying to the neck area, and of course discerning with the face. One capsule is suffice enough for full coverage. Overall Amino Genesis is starting to play with the big fellows amongst beauty brands. The pearl capsules can be competitive alongside Elizabeth Arden's brand and this new addition is sure to please. Selling at $79.00 per bottle you can start 2010 with your skin as an investment in mind.

Kat is touching base with both her angel and devil! And so can you! We tried her luscious new fragrance Saint. But does mellow out into a bouquet of flowery bliss. With hints of vanilla, musk and sandalwood, Saint offers a comforting aspect to the senses. And pairs perfectly as a daytime to evening fragrance.

And if you are in a more daring mood. Put on your other half - and try Sinner from the same line. Either way you are sure to bring out your better half - which ever side that maybe. We enjoyed the line and rated it a 4 out of 5 stars for it's unique appeal and superbly fitted bottle and 'tattoo' accented designs. Signals Skin Care Develops Unique Stem Cell Research With Anti-Aging Results

When one mentions the term 'stem cell' there is always an air of skepticism. But with recent clinical studies, this very new development is seeing brighter results on the beauty market. With leaps and bounds being developed in this area, anti-aging products are being newly revised, tested and marketed.

Signals - a newly innovative skin care line has done just that. Using adult compound stem cells. This highly anticipated and new concept will change your perception of skin care from the genes in your body to the surface of your skin. And how is that possible you ask?

Well in recent clinical studies, there are 148 anti-aging genes in our body that control skin function. One of the compounds used in Signals is scientifically proven to positively affect over 22 genes—something never before achieved. These gene expressions will dramatically help to reverse the aging cells of your skin and allow those cells to match the youthful cells of a 20-year old. The compound captures liquid signals secreted by the adult stem cells, and it uses those signals within a cream and lotion base (hence the brand name-Signals). After applying the cream or lotion to your skin your skin starts its repair process from the inside out.

Sound a little far fetched? Well maybe not so, consumers who used Signals experienced a 107% increase in skin hydration. And within a few weeks, noticed a dramatic difference in their skin tone. Fine lines and wrinkles were reduced, and skin is left soft and supple.

So how did we rate it? I tried the three component program including an anti-aging peptide-based exfoliant. This clears off all the dead skin cells and preps your skin for the day lotion, which works all day long, protecting and repairing your skin. Feeding your skin at night with the super hydrating night cream repairs and restores your skin’s elasticity.

Now with a product such as Signals, you do have to be a little patient to see any results, and of course use it daily. The peptide exfoliant applies more like a thin cream, and does not lather like a regular face wash would. And the lotions themselves are rich and creamy. Since I run on the more oilier side, to use a hydrating product puts my skin on the defensive-hence too much hydration. So I would recommend a lighter usage. For dryer skin types, or if you suffer from wrinkles, you will see some excellent results. Overall Signals wins points in the scientific and innovation department, waking other anti-aging brands in it's trail. (Like how many skin care brands do you know that are so innovative using stem cell research?). And as a long term program, you can see Signals as an investment towards a more youthful appearance in your future.

The Signals program retails for $199.00 and is now offering a free 30 day trail with no obligation. Go to Signals.com to experience the Signals skincare collection.

Do you ever dream of being in a beautiful red desert setting? Your every need being accustomed to as you enter your luxurious Scottsdale, AZ day spa. And with that said, you are lavishly pampered from head to toe with body and facial treatments. Have I painted a nice enough picture for you? Well using Scottsdale based beauty product PCA SKIN® gives you just that feeling.
I tried from the collection their Haze 9 Purifying Mask. A mask and exfoliant in one. This delicious product goes on smooth. Liberally applying a thin layer to your face and chest areas. Then let this red clay do it's magic. Once you have let it seep into your skin, activate it's heat signature by gently rubbing your skin, to take advantage of it's exfoliating action.
Formulated with exotic ingredients such as algae from the Red Sea, French red clay, red wine extract and vitamins E and A, this mask will nourish rough, dull, dehydrated and stressed skin, and also help clear breakouts. Plus, the addition of micro fine pumice allows for the gentle exfoliation of impurities, leaving the skin smooth, clear and bright. We gave it a beauty-licious five stars.

37th Annual Lifetime Achievement Awards Honors Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas followed in the footsteps of his father Kirk Douglas, by receiving the 37th Annual AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. The Royal Hollywood couple dazzled on the Red Carpet. Catherine Zeta-Jones shone in her her strapless maroon red Randi Rahm gown. With an embellished bodice and high split, she looked just divine next to her now iconic husband.

Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves looked just fabulous together. Camilla looked superb wearing a gorgeous electric teal Monique Lhuillier gown. Her look was completed with a silver VBH Python Stinger clutch with Swarovski crystals and matching jewelry.

Bai Ling dressed the part in this gorgeous bright yellow gown. But her moody looks, did not complete this dashing style.

And even though we loved Kathleen Turner over the years, we have for sure see her plight as well. Unfortunately this outfit does not complement Kathleen at all! The jacket is way too small, pant too large, and the shoes...well I will just stop there. Even though we adore Kathleen, I would for sure fire her stylist!

Dior Delivers Sexy Fifties Inspired Haute Couture For Fall 2009

If anyone ever pondered the question of how a Dior couture show would play minus the smoke, mirrors, deafening music, extravagant sets, and locations—and haven't we all?—now we know.
For Fall, John Galliano took the collection back to the dove gray salons of the Christian Dior headquarters in the Avenue Montaigne to show almost in the way the clothes were traditionally presented to clients and the press in the 1950's.
And to be honest, sans the heart-pounding stress, stadium-size crowds, and general hurly-burly, it was a lovelier, more intimate parade to behold.Galliano said he'd been inspired by behind-the-scenes documentary photographs taken more than half a century ago as Monsieur Dior dressed his cabine of mannequins for shows.
The conceit of half-dressed models informed the collection, so that hip-emphasizing basques, girdles, lace-edged slips, and petticoats were hybridized into brightly colored variations on the classic wasp-waisted silhouette of Dior's New Look. The effects—reworked Bar peplum jackets, draped bubble skirts, padded-hip coats, and full-skirted evening gowns—came punched up with a zinging palette of orange, lime, raspberry, and yellow, contrasted with the pretty flesh tones of fifties under-things. Nothing particularly novel, or even mildly shocking, but Galliano turned that to his advantage. It's a moment when reemphasizing house values is a wise tactical move.
